Mountain Rescue & Schatzberg Walk
Organised by the Auffach Mountain Rescue. The Schatzberg Walk is a popular summer feature here in the Wildschönau.
Schatzberg Walk 22nd/23rd August 2009
The popular Schatzberg Walk starts this year for the 34th time. The Walk is for all the family (the trip on the cable car is free). For the more ambitious there is of course a timed race. Meeting Point is the Schatzberg Lift in Auffach.
There are several different routes.
Start time: 7 am - 11 am
The walkers route is the shortest at 9 km, a familiy route is 18 km long, and an expert route of 20 km.
The lift ticket is free on presentation of your start card. (Available from 7 am)
The Walk takes place in all weathers.

Saturday, 22nd August 2009
5 pm Kiddy Fest with Kids First Aid course and lots of other attractions (bouncy castle & climbing wall). Coffee & cake for the adults.
7 pm Summer Nights Festival with live music and party with DJ Baschtla.
Sunday, 23rd August 2009
From 7 am 34th International Schatzberg Walk 2009
From 10 am live music at the Schatzberg lift. Music and kids entertainment all afternoon.
3 pm Results of the group event
