56th Wildschönau Valley Festival
The Wildschönau 'Valley Festival' was first brought into being by a group of prominent local people in the Gasthof Weissbacher in Auffach on 24th June 1956 and held for the first time in that summer.
The Festival takes place annually and is held alternately in Oberau, Auffach and Niederau. The local brass bands organise the event. It is the highlight of the summer festival season with a parade on the Sunday featuring all the local bands, guest bands, the Rifle Company and the Storm Troopers as well as decorated floats and waggons.
